FARNHAM to FULLER

FARNHAM, ORRIN
Born in Vassalboro, Maine May 22, 1828. He was made a Mason in the Kennebec Lodge, Hallowell and affiliated with Lafayette Lodge March 6, 1875. He was a farmer and lived in Readfield but died in Augusta at City Hospital where he had been taken for treatment Aug. 9, 1906.


FILLEBROWN, GEORGE MILLER
Born in Readfield May 20, 1830 (son of James III and Hannah <Bean> Fillebrown). Raised to the Master Mason degree in Lafayette lodge June 6, 1857; S.W. 1861-62; Master 1863 and 1884; Marshal 1869-71. Readfield Town Clerk 1857-1864. Steward at the Maine Agricultural College at Orono when that institution opened to students. When in Readfield he was a merchant and proprietor of the hotel (J.O. Craig's Elmwood House - he married Craig's daughter). He went to Ayer, MA in 1884 and was for some years engaged in business there. He died in Gloucester, MA May 18, 1908.


FISH, MELZAR WESTON
Born in Duxbury, MA May 10, 1861 and came to Maine when 5 years old. Was made Master Mason of Lafayette Lodge March 2, 1907. He is a farmer and lives in (West) Mt, Vernon (in 1909).


FOGG, ARTHUR JOSIAH
Born in Readfield Sept. 20, 1875 (son of Charles H. and Ada <Hankerson> Fogg). Raised to Master Mason degree of Lafayette Lodge Jan. 21, 1898; J.S. 1898. Is a traveling salesman and lives in Boston (in 1909).


FOGG, FRANK PRESCOTT
Born in Readfield Sept. 19, 1862 (son of Dudley G. and Anna <Prescott> Fogg). Raised to Master Mason of Lafayette Lodge Jan. 6, 1894. He is now (1909) advertising agent for the National Magazine and lives in Dorchester, MA. He has traveled extensively in the interests of National Magazine.


FOGG, DUDLEY STACEY
Born in Readfield Apr. 10, 1841 (son of Josiah N. and Hannah <Shaw> Fogg). Raised to Sublime degree of Master Mason in Lafayette Lodge Oct. 10, 1862; receiving all his degrees at one meeting; S.W. 1866; member of Jerusalem Chapter R.A.M. Hallowell. He was a farmer and also engaged in grain business (father and grandfather owned grist mill at Factory Square) and later was foreman in car shop at Taunton, MA. He was in the 21st Regiment of Maine Vols. in the Civil War and promoted to Corporal. Died April 7, 1876 at Readfield.


FOLSOME, JOHN WALTER
Born in Augusta May 24, 1868. Raised to the Master Mason degree in Lafayette lodge Mar. 5, 1898. Was for some years engaged in the grocery business in Readfield but in the early part of 1909 went to Washington State.


FRENCH, JOHN SHAW
Born in Fayette, ME June 14, 1797. It is not known where he was made a Mason. Elected member of Lafayette Lodge Mar. 23, 1826. He was a farmer and master carpenter; a Captain in the Militia; a selectman of Fayette for many years, and a man of much prominence in the town in his day. He died in Fayette Jan. 30, 1873.


FROST, EDMUND HARRISON
Born in Winthrop in 1816 (son of Edmund and Elioenai <Whiting> Frost) . Raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason degree in Lafayette Lodge June 8, 1850. Tyler 1850-51; J.D. 1853. He was a harness and trunk maker. Died Dec. 15, 1860 at Readfield. (Also married a daughter of John O. Craig as did George Fillebrown above).


FROST, HENRY DANFORTH
Born in Winthrop Aug. 10, 1824 (son of Edmund and Elioenai <Whiting> Frost). Raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason degree in Lafayette Lodge Feb. 7, 1852. He was a merchant tailor at Readfield for many years and afterward moved to Skowhegan, where he died.


FULLER, EDWARD
Born in Winthrop, Maine Jan. 22, 1782 (son of Francis and Hannah <Cobb> Fuller). Raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason degree in Temple Lodge (Winthrop) in 1818. He was a Charter Member of Lafayette Lodge in 1826 (early meetings held at his home and at Fillebrown's until first hall was constructed in 1827). He was also a Charter member in 1850 when the new charter was issued (after the "dark days of Masonry"). He was Secretary 1826; J.W. 1827-28; S.W. 1829' Master 1830-31; Treasurer 1832-1850. He was a lawyer and followed his profession for many years at Readfield Corner (several men studied under him including Gov. Lot Morrill and Timothy O. Howe, US Post Master General). Readfield Town Clerk 1812-1814. Maine House of Representatives 1823. County Commissioner 1833-36. He died in Readfield Aug. 26, 1856.


FULLER, WILLIAM CROCKER
Born in Winthrop, Maine Nov. 23, 1791 (son of Francis and Hannah <Cobb> Fuller). Raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason degree in Temple Lodge (Winthrop) Aug. 26, 1818. At the re-organization of Lafayette Lodge he became a Charter Member. He was J.W. 1849-50; S.W. 1851/ Readfield selectman 1842-46; deputy sheriff  of Kennebec County and a leading citizen of both Winthrop and Readfield He died suddenly on the street in Winthrop Sept. 16, 1861.


FULLER, JOHN GRAY
Born in Turner, Maine May 19, 1843. Raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason degree in Lafayette Lodge Jan. 27, 1866. Educated at Kents Hill School. He was a painter by trade and was at one time in business in Boston. He had also spent some time in the Western U.S. Died Nov. 28, 1873 at Kents Hill and buried with Masonic rites.
